How do you write the opening sentence of a first post of a first blog? Here are some things to know about me:
I’ve been an abstract oil painter for twelve years, and now I’m broadening back out into mixed media work. It started when my husband died (October 2008) and I wanted to make a memorial piece about his bi-polar and creativity. I bought a sewing machine to make a panelled bard’s cape and now I’m on a City and Guilds Machine Emboidery 7113 and enrolled on an Eco Garments course in April, 2010. I want to make stunning pieces using my skills as an artist, holistic thinker and organic industral scavenger and to encourage others to learn to make with their hands and heart, not their brains.
So, I’ll be sharing photos, ideas, work in progress, inerviews with people I love to have in my life and encouraging readers’ creativity and offering upcycled goods for sale and links to my site at www.folksy.com . I have just been diagonsed with Fibromyalgia and am going to be charting how Michel Therapy is helping me self realise my way to a glowing vitality! I have had agoraphobia for twenty years so am hoping to heal that at the same time.
The glass is half full? The glass is overflowing!
Creativty, positivity, holistic living from who I am where I am, as a wayward Daoist means life is full of small delights, however grey the sky that day.
Here are some photos from first Friday crafts yesterday at my house.
